Pecha Kucha Summaries and Nursing Students' Presentation Skills: A Randomized Study

Background: Pecha Kucha may support concise and organized health education presentations, but its contribution when added to conventional PowerPoint presentations remains unclear.

Method: In this randomized, posttest-only controlled study, 272 first-year nursing students were assigned to PowerPoint-only or PowerPoint-plus-Pecha Kucha groups. Presentation skills, motivation, and satisfaction were assessed after the presentations.

Inclusion Criteria:

• First-year nursing students enrolled in the Healthy Living and Nursing Course during the study period.
• Voluntary participation in the study and provision of informed consent.
• No previous structured training in the Pecha Kucha presentation technique.
• Completion of the assigned presentation and post-intervention data collection forms.

Exclusion Criteria:

• Not participating in the assigned presentation.
• Withdrawal from the study at any stage.
• Incomplete completion of the data collection instruments.
