Cinnamon-enriched cookies were developed and evaluated for their sensory acceptability and potential as a functional food for adults with hyperlipidemia. The findings suggest that incorporating cinnamon into cookies alongside conventional therapy may support cardiovascular and liver health while offering a palatable dietary intervention.
Inclusion Criteria:
Both men and women aged 45-55 participated in the study. The experiment targeted high-cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein patients (>220, 150, and 130 mg/dL).
Exclusion Criteria:
Individuals with diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, documented cinnamon allergies were excluded.
