| Exercise exposure | Behavioral | Patients with essential hypertension in cold regions who met the inclusion criteria were prospectively recruited and divided into an exercise exposure group and a non-exercise control group based on their willingness to accept and adhere to the exercise protocol developed for this study, with a follow-up period of 16 weeks. At baseline and the end of follow-up, we measured the expression of core thermosensitive targets, blood pressure (BP), heart rate variability (HRV), as well as the levels of sympathetic neurotransmitters and indicators of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), and compared the changes in these indicators between the two groups. |
