This study aimed to investigate whether static Q angle reflects dynamic landing mechanics in young female athletes.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between static Q angle and dynamic landing mechanics in young female athletes. Twenty-four physically active young female athletes voluntarily participated in the study.
Static Q angle measurements were obtained using digital image analysis techniques. Dynamic landing mechanics were assessed using the Landing Error Scoring System (LESS) and frontal plane projection angle (FPPA) measurements during a standardized drop vertical jump task.Body composition variables including body fat percentage, muscle percentage, and fat-free mass were also evaluated. Correlation, regression, and ROC analyses were performed to determine the association between static anatomical alignment and dynamic knee valgus mechanics. The study aimed to determine whether increased static Q angle values are associated with altered landing biomechanics and increased injury risk indicators.
