This was a retrospective observational cohort study. This study was a secondary analysis of individuals with sickle cell disease (SCD) enrolled in the GRNDaD registry.

Inclusion criteria:

• Diagnosis of SCD.
• Signed consent to participate in GRNDaD registry.
