Is the TECAR therapy effective on supraspinatus tendon thickness, sub acromial space, pain intensity , shoulder range of motion, muscle strength ( supraspinatus and middle fiber of deltoid) and functional disabilities in patients with supraspinatus tendinitis?
Supraspinatus tendinitis is a common disorder of the rotator cuff characterized by inflammation and degeneration of the supraspinatus tendon, typically resulting from repetitive overhead activities, mechanical impingement beneath the acromion, or age-related degenerative changes. This condition often leads to shoulder pain, reduced range of motion, and functional impairment during arm elevation and overhead movements. Recently, Studies demonstrated that the addition of TECAR therapy to a standard physiotherapy regimen improves shoulder pain, disability, and passive range of motion in patients with adhesive capsulitis, supporting the use of TECAR as an effective modality in shoulder musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
