Comparison of the Effects of Adductor Canal Block and Parasartorial Compartment Block on Postoperative Analgesia and Functional Recovery After Arthroscopic Knee Surgery: A Prospective, Randomized, Double-Blind Study
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare adductor canal block and parasartorial compartment block for pain relief and functional recovery in adults undergoing elective arthroscopic knee surgery. The main questions it aims to answer are:
Which block provides better pain relief at rest and during movement 24 hours after surgery? How do the two blocks compare in opioid use, muscle strength, knee movement, early walking, side effects, and patient satisfaction?
Researchers will compare participants who receive an adductor canal block with those who receive a parasartorial compartment block to determine whether one technique provides better pain relief and functional recovery while preserving muscle strength.
Participants will:
Be randomly assigned to receive either an ultrasound-guided adductor canal block or an ultrasound-guided parasartorial compartment block Have their pain at rest and during knee movement assessed for 48 hours after surgery Have their opioid use, quadriceps muscle strength, knee movement, walking ability, side effects, and satisfaction evaluated after surgery
