Hand Mobilization Versus Myofascial Release Following Flexor Tendon Repair
Flexor tendon repair is commonly performed to restore hand function after tendon injuries. Different rehabilitation techniques are used to improve range of motion, grip strength, and functional outcomes. This randomized controlled trial compares the effects of myofascial release and hand mobilization following flexor tendon repair. Thirty participants are randomly allocated into two groups. Outcomes include wrist range of motion, grip strength, and the QuickDASH questionnaire. The findings may help determine the effectiveness of these rehabilitation techniques following flexor tendon repair.
This randomized controlled trial aims to compare the effectiveness of myofascial release and hand mobilization following flexor tendon repair.
Thirty participants who underwent flexor tendon repair will be randomly assigned into two equal groups.
Group A will receive a hand mobilization program in addition to the conventional rehabilitation program.
Group B will receive myofascial release in addition to the conventional rehabilitation program.
Treatment will be provided according to the study protocol.
Outcome measures include wrist range of motion (flexion, extension, radial deviation, and ulnar deviation), grip strength measured using a hand dynamometer, and upper limb function assessed using the QuickDASH questionnaire.
Assessments will be performed before treatment and after completion of the rehabilitation program. The study aims to determine whether one intervention provides superior clinical outcomes compared with the other.
