Stroke-related hemiplegia may be accompanied by peripheral nerve conduction abnormalities, which may contribute to motor impairment and functional limitations. However, the frequency of these abnormalities and their relationship with clinical status have not been fully characterized. This single-center observational study aims to evaluate the frequency of peripheral nerve conduction abnormalities identified by nerve conduction studies in patients with unilateral hemiplegia and to examine their association with motor and functional clinical assessment scores. The findings may contribute to a better understanding of peripheral nerve involvement in stroke rehabilitation.
This is a single-center observational study designed to evaluate peripheral nerve conduction abnormalities in patients with unilateral hemiplegia following stroke. Participants undergo standardized nerve conduction studies together with routine clinical assessments, including validated measures of motor recovery and functional status. The study aims to describe the frequency of peripheral nerve conduction abnormalities within the study population and to examine their association with clinical assessment scores. The results may improve the understanding of peripheral nerve involvement in patients with hemiplegia and provide information that may be useful for rehabilitation practice.
