The goal of the study is to know the role of upper airway ultrasound in predicting weaning outcomes in mechanically ventilated patients , and the question is ,Is it the best to use or the conventional criteria of weaning

Assessment of upper airway using ultrasound to show it's value in weaning and extubation

Inclusion Criteria:

• Patient's age more than eighteen years.
• Patients passed spontaneous breathing trials.
• hemodynamically stable patients

Exclusion Criteria:

• Patients that are younger than 18 years old.
• Patients that hemodynamically unstable
• Patients didn't pass spontaneous breathing trials.
• diaphragm dysfunction
• lung congestion
