Development and Internal Validation of a Clinicopathologic Prognostic Model for Overall Survival in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma After Neoadjuvant Chemoimmunotherapy and Esophagectomy: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study
The goal of this retrospective observational study is to develop and internally evaluate a prognostic model for overall survival in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma who received neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy followed by esophagectomy.
Researchers will review existing clinical, pathologic, and follow-up data from 414 patients treated at three medical centers between 2019 and 2025. The study will assess whether routinely available clinicopathologic factors can provide prognostic information beyond postoperative pathologic staging.
Inclusion Criteria:
Age 18 to 80 years Histologically confirmed esophageal squamous cell carcinoma Received at least 1 cycle of neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy before surgery Underwent subsequent esophagectomy
Exclusion Criteria:
History of other malignancies Preoperative antitumor therapy other than neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy Incomplete clinicopathologic or follow-up data
