Following the Bunsen-Roscoe law, accelerated cross-linking protocols with higher irradiation intensities and shorter irradiation times have been introduced. In addition, new riboflavin solutions with HPMC (hydroxylpropyl methylcellulose) instead of dextran found its way into CXL-treatment.
